The India Philanthropy Forum, hosted by Indiaspora and Dasra, convened prominent philanthropic leaders from the Indian diaspora, NGOs, and ecosystem experts to discuss bold strategies for driving social change in India. In keeping with Indiaspora’s annual tradition of spotlighting key philanthropic themes, the event featured thought-provoking panels on climate resilience, gender equity, and the future of social innovation, including a panel led by the India Philanthropic Alliance.

The forum featured keynote addresses from Vikram Gandhi (Harvard Business School) and Mary Ellen Iskenderian (Women’s World Banking) and fostered several dynamic discussions on how philanthropy can be a catalyst for systemic, lasting impact. Sanjeev Joshipura, Indiaspora Executive Director, provided opening remarks. Shoba Viswanathan, Indiaspora Vice President of Community Relations and Civic Engagement, moderated a panel on Gender Equity. Amita Siddiqui, Director of Programs and Operations, served as an emcee. Several Indiaspora members addressed the attendees throughout the day. The event sparked insightful discussions on key issues and offered tangible solutions to promote philanthropic giving to India. Indiaspora was also represented by Annie Parayadipura, Global Programs Coordinator.
