Coordinator, Event & Operations

Indiaspora, a nonprofit organization, is a network of global Indian origin leaders from diverse backgrounds and professions who are committed to inspiring the diaspora to be a force for good by providing a platform to collaborate, build community engagement, and catalyze social change.

We are conducting a search for a Coordinator for Event & Operations. This position is entirely remote. US work authorization is required. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Must reside inside the United States.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and organize relevant Indiaspora events such as collaborative forums with government leaders, private sector, or other non-profit organizations (i.e., think tanks, trade associations, and other community organizations), and organization expansion research excursions

  • Lead efforts to build relationships with key stakeholders such as government officials, private sector leaders, and non-profit organizations 

  • Maintain CRM system and additional internal lists and databases

  • Update Indiaspora’s Squarespace website

  • Maintain website calendar for members’ events

  • Conduct research and outreach to partner organizations and potential partner organizations regarding vendor contracting and invitation management.

  • Engage in projects to grow the Indiaspora network and membership

  • Design materials to be used for the WordPress website, social media and other marketing materials for various initiatives

  • Assist with the planning and execution of ongoing events

Qualifications - Required:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Strong attention to detail while keeping under consideration greater organizational

    priorities

  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and GSuite, including Gmail and Google Drive (Documents, Sheets, and Slides), and Zoom

  • Strong writing skills

  • Familiarity with Zoom functionalities

  • Ability to work with abbreviated deadlines

Qualifications - Preferred:

  • Graduate degree in relevant field

  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

  • Familiarity with frequently used software like Canva, Hubspot, Whova, Cvent 

  • Prior experience planning and executing events

Compensation and Benefits:

This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a passionate and thriving team. The salary range is $43,000 - $48,000 annually. Indiaspora also offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
