Anju and Ajay Virmani

Anju is the Chief Information officer at Cargojet Airways, Canada’s only cargo airline for time-sensitive air cargo services. Anju provides technology leadership to the organization and helps to effectively manage technology and business risks. Prior to Cargojet, Anju founded and successfully ran a management and technology consulting practice in Silicon Valley. Anju has a keen interest in corporate governance and has served on many non-profit and crown corporation boards and advisory roles. Anju served on the ACNS Advisory Council for National Security, the Toronto Transit Commission, and the advisory board of the York University MBA Health care program. Ajay has over 42 years of experience in the transportation industry. He has served as Senior Vice President of Cottrell Transport Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer of TI/Fastair, and President of Eagle Global Logistics before founding and serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cargojet.

Anju believes in serving the community and supports initiatives in education and health care through her family foundation and currently supports a generous scholarship program for women in STEM at Ryerson University. Ajay is also a philanthropist supporting several causes and charities both nationally and internationally, most recently directing the Cargojet Foundation to donate for pandemic support and social justice initiatives in August of 2020.

Anju holds a B.Sc and B.Ed from the University of Delhi, India, and an M.BA from the City University of New York. Anju has also received the Charter Director designation from McMaster University. Ajay received his Masters of Business Administration from the City University of New York in 1985 and was honored with a Doctor of Laws degree by Assumption University Windsor, Ontario. He was also an Olympic Torchbearer for the 2010 Olympic Games.
