Bunty Chand currently serves as Global Consultant for Indiaspora. Founded in 2012, Indiaspora is a non-profit organization headquartered in the US. Founded by MR Rangaswami, a tech entrepreneur from the Bay Area, Indiaspora is a convening platform to build community engagement, share new and creative ideas around critical global issues and inspire the Indian diaspora to be a Force for Good.
Prior to this, she was Chief Executive Officer of Asia Society India from 2006-2020. Founded in 1956, Asia Society is dedicated to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders, and institutions of Asia and the United States. Across the fields of arts, business, culture, education, and policy, the Society provides insight, generates ideas, and promotes collaboration to address present challenges and create a shared future. Asia Society India was launched in 2006 under the leadership of Ms. Chand. As CEO, Ms. Chand played a pivotal role in shaping and implementing Asia Society’s strategy in India and building a sustainable funding model for the organization. Asia Society India convened over 700 programmes in Mumbai and Delhi. She developed an extensive network of relationships with corporates, educational organizations, think tanks, NGO’s, museums, cultural organizations and key bureaucrats and public intellectuals in India, Asia and the US, to further the Asia Society’s mission.
She spent ten years with AT&T in USA and Hong Kong in the areas of Strategy & Business Development, Human Resources, Sales and Training & Development. She worked as a teacher with the International Catholic Migration Commission at a refugee camp in the Philippines.
She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from George Washington University, USA, Master’s in Special Education from Florida Atlantic University, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Education and History from Jamia Millia & Delhi University. She has lived and worked in USA, Philippines, Hong Kong, India and Singapore.
