Nistha Dube – Finding My Voice

June 29, 2023

When I started my content creation journey during the pandemic, it began with making low quality TikToks on my iPhone in my room. I didn’t know HOW to make proper content, what a “social media strategy” was, how to increase engagement, or any of the algorithmic lingo us content creators live by today. I did know one thing: That I wanted to be the person I never had growing up. Someone to show others that it’s safe to follow one’s inner voice.

I wasn’t sure where this process would take me- if I would eventually have to drop it all to go for a “real job.” Yet, I kept showing up everyday, making videos, and eventually driving traffic from there towards my mindset coaching services, my podcast, Conversations with Nistha, and my book, beyond the skin.

I have then gone on to giving a virtual TEDx at Redmond High School and a Keynote speech at Utah State University, speaking on the topics of self-discovery and purpose with students across the states. It often takes me by surprise to connect the dots back to where it all began- short form vertical video trends on TikTok during a pandemic! Today I understand it is the content creation industry that is driving transformational breakthroughs within the younger generations, and that I am simply a messenger within this digital sphere.

I hope to bring my voice to young individuals across the globe. As an Indian-American, I aim to see more people who look like me in the self-improvement and creative space. Seeing the Indiaspora community’s growth makes me look forward to the diverse culture the platform is fostering- voices of all backgrounds and ethnicities gathering to share ideas. At the end of the day, I’ve learned content isn’t what is displayed on screen, but the experience of what occurs off the camera- from an initial idea, to the conversations and relationships in between, and an energetically aligned final execution.
