Ashish Chand

President and Chief Executive Officer

Ashish Chand has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Belden since February 2023 and is a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Chand joined Belden in 2002 and has held several leadership positions across the organization. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Industrial Automation Solutions (since July 2019) and as Managing Director of Belden Asia Pacific (from August 2017). He is currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA.

Throughout his tenure at Belden, Dr. Chand has worked across multiple functions including sales and marketing, business development, and operations in both Asia and North America. He has been instrumental in shaping and driving Belden’s long-term growth strategy, solutions and product development, and go-to-market efforts. Notably, he played a critical role in establishing and expanding Belden’s presence in the Asia Pacific region, including launching manufacturing operations in China and India.

Before joining Belden, Dr. Chand gained experience in the Oil & Gas, Non-Ferrous Metals, and Optical Fiber industries, where he held roles in project management, operations, business development, and mergers & acquisitions.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Loyola College, Madras (India), an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur (India), and a Doctorate of Business Administration from the City University of Hong Kong.
