Madhu is the first Alsdorf associate curator of Indian, Southeast Asian, Himalayan and Islamic art at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Madhu is responsible for the exhibition, collection, preservation and research of the museum’s permanent collection in those areas. The position was established by Marilynn Alsdorf, one of the institute’s great patrons and a celebrated collector of Asian art.
Ghose has been a lecturer in South Asian art and archeology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She was a fellow at the Department of Eastern Art, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford University. She also was a co-founder of the Circle of Inner Asian Art, an organization that promotes the art and culture of Central Asia.
