Amira is the Co-founder & CEO of Glow. Glow’s mission is to help podcast creators thrive by providing them the tools to establish direct relationships with their customers. We enable audio creators to become audio entrepreneurs, so they can make a living doing what they love.
Her previous projects include co-founding Backyard Media Company, a tech-powered media company that produces and distributes web video series, including managing and producing video for the largest science and nature video network on the internet. She also is co-founder of Comet Squares, which makes pocket squares for the 21st century man who wants to look formal, fun, and fly. Amira has also started and run two businesses while in graduate school. One was Airbnbros, a company that helped students monetize their apartments while they were away on break. The other was Zomida, which made it easy to buy home-cooked food from people in your neighborhood.
Amira has served as an aide at the White House and the State Department under the Obama Administration. She has also done stints at Airbnb and PepsiCo. Amira holds an MPA/MBA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and the Wharton school at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Yale, where she studied political science. Born and raised in California, Amira is a certified scuba diver who loves eating and Netflixing in her spare time.
