Yaz Mubarakai is an Indian-born Australian politician and member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, representing the Labor Party since 2017. Before entering politics, Mubarakai established himself as a successful small business owner, running the Success post office, Café Royal, and Majestic India restaurant in Cockburn Central. 

Mubarakai also served as a councilor for the City of Cockburn, which provided him with deep insights into community planning and service needs. As an MLA for Jandakot, he has been dedicated to improving local infrastructure, securing investments in new schools, and enhancing transport facilities.
