Vedant Patel is the Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, marking a historic milestone as the first Indian-American to hold the daily press briefing. 

Previously, he served as an Assistant Press Secretary and Spokesperson at the White House under President Biden. Patel played key roles during the Biden-Harris transition and the Presidential Inaugural Committee. His career includes serving as Communications Director for Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and Congressman Mike Honda, and as a spokesperson for the Democratic National Committee.
