Sumona Guha has been appointed as Senior Director for South Asia in the White House National Security Counsel.
Formerly, Sumona served as senior vice president at Albright Stonebridge Group. She also previously served in the State Department as a foreign service officer and later, on the Secretary of State’s policy planning staff where she focused on South Asia. She has also served as Senior Adviser to the Special Representative’s Office in Afghanistan and Pakistan. She has had a career spanning the State Department for almost 20 years.
Sumona is a graduate of Johns Hopkins and Georgetown University.
