Paula Gopee-Scoon is a Trinidadian politician, currently serving as a Senator and Minister of Trade and Industry, a position she has held since September 11, 2015. Her political career began when she was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Point Fortin in 2007, subsequently serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Gopee-Scoon graduated with a B.Sc. in Public Administration and Law from the University of the West Indies and holds an LLB (Hons.) from the University of London, along with an MBA focusing on Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation from Anglia Ruskin University.
Before her political career, she gained extensive experience in the financial sector, holding various managerial roles in banking. An avid art collector, she is also a dedicated mother of three, reflecting her commitment to both her family and her country.
