Manka Dhingra

Manka Dhingra serves in the Washington State Senate, where she has been a prominent leader in criminal justice reform, mental health advocacy, and public safety. Elected as the first Sikh woman in the Washington legislature, Dhingra brings her experience as a senior prosecutor in the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to her legislative work. 

She has championed policies that emphasize restorative justice, reduce recidivism, and improve access to mental health resources across Washington. Dhingra’s initiatives have strengthened protections for vulnerable communities, promoted healthcare accessibility, and supported victims’ rights. 

Known for her collaborative approach, she has worked across party lines to secure funding for critical public safety programs and infrastructure, making her a respected voice in Washington’s efforts to foster a more equitable and just state.
