Harpreet Uppal is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Huddersfield since 2024. A member of the Labour Party, she made history as one of the first female MPs of Mauritian descent in the UK Parliament. 

Before her election, Uppal worked extensively in community service, focusing on education and youth development. She has been a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion within the political sphere, pushing for policies that support underrepresented communities.
