Gobind Singh Deo is a prominent Indo-Malaysian politician of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), who currently serves as the Minister of Digital, a position he was appointed to in December 2023.
Prior to this, he was the Minister of Communications and Multimedia from 2018 to 2020. Gobind Singh earned his law degree from the University of Warwick and was called to the Bar in 1996. He practiced law at his own firm, Gobind Singh Deo & Co., where he handled numerous high-profile cases, including those involving human rights and constitutional law.
As a politician, he has represented Puchong in Parliament since 2008 and later Damansara. As Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Gobind pushed for reforms like the Anti-Fake News Act. Indiaspora is proud to have Gobind Singh Deo in our Global Government List.
