Gagan Mohindra

MP Mohindra has been the Chairman of Planning for his District Council, and Local Government Finance as the Lead Member at the County Council for Finance, Property and Housing. Gagan was first elected in June 2004 as a Parish Councillor and became a District Councillor in June 2006. In 2017, he was elected onto the County Council and has been consistently promoted, ending up as Lead Member for Finance, Housing and Property.

After University at King’s College, London, he worked in financial services in London. A few years later, he left to join the family furniture retail business.He is passionate about enabling all children to have a first-rate education; and has thrown himself at helping schools and colleges thrive in his communities. He has been Governor of a well-performing primary school and currently acts as Governor of the Anderson National Autistic School in Epping Forest.

Gagan graduated from the University at King’s College in London. He enjoys watching and playing football and cricket, reading bad fiction and watching bad sci-fi. He was a surprise for his parents as he is a second-born fraternal twin.
