Dr. Frank Anthony is a Guyanese politician and the current Minister of Health, appointed in August 2020 by President Irfaan Ali. Dr. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia and a Master’s in Public Health from Hebrew University.
Prior to becoming Health Minister, he served as the Executive Director of the Health Sector Development Unit within the Ministry of Health, where he played a crucial role in health policy and development initiatives. As Minister of Health, Dr. Anthony has been at the forefront of Guyana’s public health response, particularly in managing the COVID-19 pandemic and improving healthcare infrastructure.
