As of 2024, Dr. Manjit Misra serves as the Director of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). In this role, he leads efforts to advance agricultural research, education, and extension initiatives that enhance food security and improve nutrition across the nation. Dr. Misra is renowned for his expertise in agricultural science, having previously held various leadership positions in academia and government.
