MP David was elected to Parliament in 2015 and currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Culture, Community, and Youth. Darryl is also the Chief Executive Officer of the SJI International School.
Prior to becoming a member of Parliament, Darryl had an extensive career in media and communications and served as a sportscaster for the regional ESPN Star Sports and Singapore’s MediaCorp TV. He was also the Deputy Director of the School of Design at Temasek Polytechnic.
Darryl completed his bachelor’s degree in English literature from the National University of Singapore, where he was also an active member of the university’s football team and participated in theatre. He received his Masters in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and completed his MBA from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. For recreation, he enjoys going to the gym, swimming, and reading.
