Indiaspora had the honor of being a sponsoring partner of the event held in celebration of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to the U.S., coinciding with his speech at the UN General Assembly. The event took place at Nassau Coliseum on September 22nd, drawing 15,000 attendees from various regions and included several Indiaspora members.

Prime Minister Modi, who fondly referred to Indian Americans as the “AI” making a remarkable impact, praised the growing influence of the Indian diaspora and expressed gratitude for the warm reception. External Affairs Minister Dr. Jaishankar, speaking at a VIP breakfast the same day, highlighted the role of the diaspora in strengthening ties between India and the U.S.

Indiaspora Founder MR and Executive Director Sanjeev Joshipura congratulated the Prime Minister on his recent meeting with President Biden and conveyed the best wishes of Indiaspora members for India’s continued success. Indiaspora was also represented by our VP of Development, Shoba Viswanathan.
