Indian Americans Vote 2020

Tuesday, September 15, 2020

In advance of the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, Indiaspora partnered with AAPI Data on a nonpartisan report that focuses on the Indian American electorate.

The launch began with an overview of the demographics of our growing Indian American community and recently concluded 2020 presidential election voter survey results, presented by Dr. Karthick Ramakrishnan, founder of AAPI Data. A thoughtful panel discussion followed with U.S. political and policy leaders on what the Diaspora community needs to evaluate with the following speakers:

  • Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, U.S. House of Representatives (IL)
  • Rep. Niraj Antani, Ohio House of Representatives
  • Ms. Seema Nanda, Visiting Fellow, Harvard Law School Labor & Worklife Program, and former CEO, Democratic National Committee
  • Dr. Milan Vaishnav, Director, South Asia Program at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (moderator)

The discussion concluded with a Q&A period for Indiaspora’s members and friends.
