Asha Rangappa | Indiaspora Salon

June 25, 2020 | 9pm - 10pm EST
In our continuing effort to bring relevant information to our community, Indiaspora was delighted to host our Virtual Salon, “Disinformation and its Effects on Democracy,” with Asha Rangappa.
Asha is a global affairs expert. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at Yale and also a legal and national security analyst for CNN. Asha served as a Special Agent in the New York Division of the FBI specializing in counterintelligence investigations. As the title of this call suggests, Asha will share her thoughts and perspective on disinformation and its ability to undermine credibility and public trust in the institutions of a democratic society.
Priya Natarajan, Indiaspora Board member, and Professor in the Department of Astronomy and Physics and Director of The Franke Program in Science & the Humanities at Yale University, moderated the discussion.
