Assuming the role of CEO of Gap in early 2020, Sonia has proven her business acumen throughout her career. She has been with Gap since 2004 and served as president and CEO of Old Navy since 2016. She was responsible for leading the Old Navy’s increase in sales from $7 billion to $8 billion in just three years. Sonia holds an engineering degree from Kettering University and completed her master’s at Stanford University.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic have donated $50 million in clothing to families affected by the virus. The Gap Foundation has also donated $1 million to support non-profit organizations around the world aiding in COVID-19 relief.
