Sean has served on the Lyft board of directors since 2016 and was appointed chairman in 2019. Sean is experienced in the world of startups, serving as the former CEO of Trulia, an online residential real estate company. He also held positions at Amazon, PayPal, and eBay – all experiences where Sean worked to help entrepreneurs grow their new ventures. Sean’s career in investment banking started at Merrill Lynch, and Pierce, Fenner & Smith. Sean has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster and a master’s of management from Northwestern University.

In response to COVID-19, Lyft has committed $6.5 million to support drivers and affected communities. The company has also partnered with 500 organizations to provide transportation access and services to individuals and communities in need. In response to the Black Lives Matter Movement, Lyft has also donated $500,000 in ride credits to organizations committed to racial justice.
