Prior to leading semiconductor solutions company Micron Technology, Sanjay co-founded SanDisk Corporation in 1988. He served as SanDisk’s president and CEO from 2011 until 2016, when it was acquired by Western Digital for $19 billion. Sanjay also held positions at Integrated Device Technology, SEEQ Technology, and Intel Corporation before co-founding SanDisk. He completed his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Micron has donated $1 million to assist disproportionately-affected communities, including contributions to Black and Hispanic organizations such as the BET + UWW COVID-19 Relief Fund and Hispanics in Philanthropy.
