Rajesh J Mehta is the founder and chairman of Rajesh Exports – the world’s largest gold refiner and exporter. His business strategy reflects a focus on efficiency and control throughout the gold value chain, from sourcing to retail. 

Out of college, he began a silver trading business and found initial success in bartering goods and selling jewelry to wholesalers and retailers. He founded Rajesh Exports in 1989 and has grown it into a global leader in gold refining and export, with a presence across the entire gold value chain. 

In 2015, he spearheaded the acquisition of Valcambi, the world’s largest gold refining facility, based in Switzerland.
