Raj is an experienced businessman, previously serving as the chairman and CEO of Rohm and Haas Company, where he began his career. He has served in a broad range of global operations and financial leadership roles and has been on the boards of several companies. His professional experience enables him to contribute to corporate leadership, public company governance, strategic analysis, and operations matters. Raj received his bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay then went on to earn his master’s from Cornell University before receiving his MBA from Drexel University in 1972.

The Aptiv Foundation donated half a million dollars to GlobalGiving COVID-19 relief fund. The fund is assisting communities with COVID-19 resources including medical equipment and care. Avantor and the Avantor Foundation have donated $100,000 to the Charities Aid Foundation of America to support hospitals and other relief organizations aiding in the response around the world.

Fun Fact: Raj and his two daughters Amita and Vanita have been active and successful in three very diverse fields: business, medicine and civil rights, respectively.
