Punit became Deloitte Global CEO in June 2015 and was reelected in 2019. Under his leadership, Deloitte launched WorldClass—a global effort to prepare 50 million futures for a world of opportunity—based on the belief that when society thrives, business thrives. Punit has been with Deloitte for 33 years and has previously served as the chairman of Deloitte LLP and CEO of Deloitte U.S. Consulting. Punit received his master’s degree from Willamette University.
In addition to his company leadership, Punit also serves on the board of directors for United Way Worldwide, the U.S.-India Business Council, the Japan Society, and as a member of the board of trustees for the U.S. Council for International Business. In response to COVID-19, Deloitte has committed more than $12.5 million around the world in the form of monetary donations, medical equipment, and pro bono project work.
