Anand Mahindra is the Chairman of Mahindra Group, an Indian multinational conglomerate, in over 100 countries across diverse sectors. He joined Mahindra in 1981 and ascended to leadership roles, becoming the Managing Director in 1997, and Chairman in 2012.
Mahindra’s leadership philosophy emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility. He has been pivotal in expanding the group’s footprint globally through partnerships, including notable ventures into electric vehicles and renewable energy.
He has received numerous awards – the Padma Bhushan in 2020 and the Knight of the Legion of Honour from France in 2016. Mahindra also founded the Nanhi Kali project, which provides education to underprivileged girls in India, and has donated significantly to educational and cultural initiatives, such as the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard University.
