Aloke Lohia is the Group CEO of Indorama Ventures, a global leader in petrochemicals and the world’s largest manufacturer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Lohia has lived in Thailand for over 30 years and has transformed IVL into a global powerhouse with over 24,000 employees across 33 countries.
Under his leadership, IVL has achieved significant milestones, including major acquisitions and substantial growth in revenue, which reached $11.4 billion in 2019. He spearheaded initiatives like Project Olympus, aiming for $610 million in efficiency gains by 2023, and committed $8 billion towards advanced recycling and bio-based plastics to meet IVL’s target of 25% sustainable feedstock by 2030.
