Climate change, extreme weather and migration have strained resources in communities and across nations over the last decade. Sea levels are rising, heat waves are threatening crops, and recent storms like Helene and Milton are causing extraordinary damage. IFG will explore how leaders worldwide are addressing these challenges through innovation in resilient materials, smart city development to manage climatic conditions and emergency management to prepare for extreme weather and damage.
Philanthropists are meeting the challenges of the world head-on with greater commitments to funding NGOs, greater advocacy for better public policy and more support for innovation to address the Sustainable Development Goals. The IFG brings together philanthropists committed to different issues in different countries, from education in India to entrepreneurship in Europe and biodiversity in Southeast Asia.
