July 17 Fisher Colloquium, Rafik. B. Hariri Building, Georgetown University, 37th and O St. NW

Indiaspora’s Philanthropy Summit, “For Givers, Doers, and Thinkers” on Tuesday, July 17, at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. is an action-oriented gathering that will afford attendees the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking conversations on various aspects of philanthropy.

Registration begins at 11:30 am followed by lunch and kick off speeches at noon. The event ends at 6 pm, and will be followed by a networking cocktail reception through 7:30 pm.

Indian American Community Engagement Survey

In addition, one of the most exciting parts of the Summit will be the unveiling and discussion of the preliminary results of the Indian American Community Engagement Survey that we are conducting with Dalberg Advisors and several other survey partners. What we learn from this will help us as a community make a more impactful, meaningful, and sustainable contribution to the Indian American and Indian community at large.

In order to have a better understanding of the context of much of the Summit, please take a few minutes to fill out the survey here. The survey is the first comprehensive effort of its kind, looking at community engagement and Indian American attitudes towards giving. What we learn from this will help us make an impactful and sustainable contribution to the Indian American and Indian communities.

Philanthropic Collaboration and Social Impact Investing

In addition to the survey, panels at the summit will discuss philanthropic collaboration and social impact investing. Furthermore, several prominent speakers from India and across the US will participate. Attendees include philanthropists, leading business executives, academics, policy experts, members of the media, students and well known Indian Americans in the Washington, D.C. area.
